The power of visualisation
Are you a visual person or do you find yourself better with words? The reason I’m asking you this is because guided imagery or visualisation may be something you wish to explore and add to your daily routine. If you are more of a verbal person, you may find that you prefer using affirmations to support your healing journey. The most important thing is to find something that works for you.
If you are reading this, you are most likely keen to explore the holistic approach to health and find ways of using it to support your cancer recovery journey. Mainstream medicine views our bodies as machines, with parts that can be fixed with the use of chemicals and medication. The concept behid the Holistic approach to health is that our state of mind, body, spirit and environment are all linked and together they are contributing to our health and wellbeing. If you would like to support your body, alongside any conventional treatment that you may be going through, then why not give visualisation a go. Use the power of the mind to visualise your body completely healed of cancer and your health fully restored.
There are many great meditation apps out there. Find one that you like the look and explore the visualisations that it has on offer. Find one that is tailored to your needs and that has a voice that you like the sound of. Each day, return to a relaxing corner of your home and complete the visualisation exercise and visualise your body as healed . This type of work can be every so powerful and requires minimum effort, which is wonderful when your energy levels are running low.
I recently had a go at recording my very first visualisations to support anyone out there currently facing cancer. It is only 4 minutes long and for a first attempt I’m pretty proud of it. Today it was approved on the Insight Timer meditation app and it is there free for you to use. However, donations are welcomed by those who wish to support my work. The title is Healing Cancer. I hope you enjoy it.
With love,
